Looking for an indigenous Kichwa community near Puyo?

The Kichwa community of Cotococha offers: canoe trips, jungle walks, ancestral medicine, music and dance, a craft center and other tourist activities in Pastaza, 30 minutes from Puyo in Ecuador.

In 2017, 16 families from this area got together and built 4 cabins, a shamanism center and trails in the 80 hectares of tropical rainforest where they live. They offer experiential community tourism.

  • Vía Puyo - Macas Km 15, detour to the right via Pomona, Tarqui parish.

    30 minutes from Puyo in Pastaza, Ecuador.

  • Entrance fee is voluntary. A contribution of $1.50 per person is recommended.
